Focus on Canada: Pre-Semester Preparation

This short intensive course will boost your oral fluency and  functional English communication abilities. It is the best way to prepare for the Spring or Fall Semester Program.

In this course, you will:

  • Focus on improving speaking and listening skills.
  • Learn about Canadian society, populations and government.
  • Build vocabulary and expressions related to Canadian society.
  • Learn about Calgary and Alberta through activities.



*Online course does not include emergency medical insurance, public transport pass or use of campus facilities such as recreational facilities.

Program Hours

50 hours

Optional Activity Programs

Improve your English skills and visit some of Western Canada’s top travel destinations while you are studying in the Semester Program. The activity program is made up of information meetings and guided excursions to points of cultural and social interest in and around Calgary.  Students have the choice of registering for the full program or individual excursion components priced individually.
